6:8 Annual board meeting

It feels great to be back in Alajuelita, Costa Rica.  The board of directors and all of the staff of 68ministries have met at the team house today and we will be together until Tuesday.  Today we had a lot of time to talk and get acquainted with each other.  We also took a walk down the road to the little neighborhood that is nestled down in the valley below the team house.  A couple months ago, one of the missionary teams was able to completely refurbish a playground and little park for the children of this neighborhood.  The families that live there are very happy with the new, safe area for their kids to play in.  Several of the families are now making the walk up the hill on Sundays to attend church.

I have really appreciated talking to some of the new families that have been here for a short time and even one that is planning on moving down in February 2014.  It is reassuring to know that we will immediately have friends and support as soon as we arrive in July 2014.  Or course we realize that God could choose to change any of these plans, but as for now, things seem to be lining up nicely.
Tomorrow we are planning on going back to the playground down the hill and run some programs for the kids and teach an english class for the adults.  Then we will help with the feeding center that is done every monday, wednesday and Friday at the church.  This is where approximately 40 homeless men will come together to worship, be prayed for, and have a great meal.  After that there will be presentations by the various ministry leaders about what the future holds for 68ministries.  I am especially eager to get the latest information on the Children's ranch.
God Bless.
